Outreach Teams

In order to be closer to the immigrants, CNAIM (National Support Centres for the Integration of Migrants (CNAIM) created Outreach Teams that, on request, go to the neighborhoods and institutions and provide specialized services in the various areas related to the lives of immigrants.

The intervention of Outreach Teams also expanded the response means of NGO's and immigrant associations, who are daily faced with situations to which they may not have or know the answer.

The services are performed by specialized technicians who seek to clarify and guide foreign nationals on various immigrant everyday issues:

 

- Regularization of residence in Portugal;

- Access to Portuguese nationality;

- Family Reunification;

- Access to Health and Education.

In situations that are more complex and that require more attention, the Outreach Teams report the situation to the National Support Centres for the Integration of Migrantes (CNAIM), taking into account the immigrant's area of residence. In these cases, an appointment is made at CNAIM Lisbon, North and Algarve.
