What training pathways are there available for adults?

There are flexible educational pathways and adequate to the different situations and personal profiles in the following areas:
  • Recognition, Validation and Certification of Skills (RVCC)
  • Adult Education and Training
  • Technological Expertise
  • Modular Training
  • Completion Streams of the Secondary Education Level
The RVCC aims to contribute for the increase of qualification levels of adults by means of a valuation of professional skills, lifelong acquired in the different contexts, as well as to provide a new opportunity of training for those who have not completed or have early abandoned the training in the formal education systems.
This program concerns adults, employed or unemployed, aged 18 or up at the beginning of the procedure and with needs of acquisition and reinforcement of knowledge and skills.
 
The EFA courses are an offer of education and training for adults who intend to increase their qualifications. These courses develop according to pathways of double certification and, whenever it is adequate to the profile and life story of the adults, only with school level qualification.
The adults who already have the 3rd level of the basic education or of the secondary level of education, who intend to obtain a double certification, can whenever it is suitable, develop only the component of technological training of the corresponding EFA course.
Entry requirements:
  • To be aged 18 or up (exceptionally it can be approved the attendance of a certain EFA course to trainees aged under 18, since they are inserted in the working market);
  • To intend completing the 1st, 2nd , 3rd level of the basic school ort the secondary school-level;
  • To intend obtaining a professional certification.
Only the candidates aged 23 or up may attend an EFA course of secondary level, offered during normal daytime schedules or fulltime.
These courses aim to answer to needs of the socio-economical tissue, on the level of expert and competent middle management able to adapt to the demand of a working market in a booming scientific and technological development, performing, simultaneously, as an alternative for the increase of the teenagers’ qualification and the assets’ professional requalification
They are adequate for you, if:
  • You have a secondary school course or legally equivalent qualification;
  • You have the level 4 of the National Framework of Qualifications (QNQ);
  • You have obtained approval in every subject of the 10th and 11th levels and have been registered in the 12nd level of a secondary school course or legally equivalent qualification, without concluding it;
  • You have a technological qualification diploma or degree or higher education level diploma and long for a professional requalification.
 
To apply to a CET in a higher education institution you must be aged 23 or up, and intend seeing, to enter the CET you have chosen in this institution, your abilities and competences recognised, based in the acquired experience.
You may see your appliance to the CET conditioned to an approval, in curricular units, of the qualifications that belong to the subject areas considered indispensable, if:

 

  • You have a secondary school course our legally equivalent qualification;
  • You have professional certification;
  • You have obtained approval in every subject of the 10th and 11th levels and have been registered in the 12nd level of a secondary school course or legally equivalent qualification, without concluding it;
The modular training aim adults aged 18 or up, without the necessary qualification to enter or to make progress in the labour world and primarily without the conclusion of the basic or secondary education.
Trainees aged under 18 can be integrated in the modular training, since they demonstrably are inserted in the working market or in centres belonging to the Justice Ministry.
The completion streams of secondary education level are answers created for those who have attended without ending training pathways of secondary level of education, developed according to study plans already extinguished or in an extinction process.
 
They are appropriate for candidates aged 18 or up, who have attended without concluding the already extinguished study plans (up to six subjects/year).
