National Innovation Agency

Imagem em Destaque
The Government, through the Ministries of Economy and Education and Science, decided to strategically reposition the AdI, renaming it, and launching "ANI - National Innovation Agency".

The ANI is assumed as a platform that embodies the growing alignment of R & D policies, innovation and technology-based entrepreneurship in the areas of science and economics, with the main function is to promote the value of knowledge in particular through increased and better collaboration and coordination between companies and NSTS.

As part of this repositioning, ANI will pursue a range of activities much wider than its predecessor:

Enhancing the transfer of knowledge to the economic level through increased and better links between businesses and other entities of the R & I system;
Increasing the share of R & I System in international networks of R & I, as well as increase scientific and technological production of international quality
Strengthening business investment in R & I determined by demand and commercial applicability (increasing the private component of financing);
Promoting, in conjunction with other entities, a favorable social environment for technology-based entrepreneurship and a culture of merit and risk.

It aspires to be very close to the companies, bringing value to their innovation activities, and recognized as a credible element in actions to support the system. Therefore, it is endowed with a model of governance, which allows you to take a central position in relation science-economy, in partnership with relevant stakeholders of the system in this area.

The National Innovation Agency's capital is subscribed equally by the Ministry of Education and Science, through the FCT - Foundation for Science and Technology (50%), and the Ministry of Economy, through IAPMEI (50%).
